Every year the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences hosts an awards show that we know as The Oscars. They celebrate what they consider the best of the best for the year’s movies released in theaters.
One of the best parts of the yearly celebration, for me at least, is the fact that you can easily read the nominations for the best screenplay to not only ready Oscar-worthy scripts but to glean quality writing examples to inspire your own work.

If you are ever curious about where you can find official scripts to download for free of some of the films from last year just search “[Movie Title] for your consideration” and you will likely come across the studios official “For Your Consideration” web page. Many of the sites include the scripts that they submitted for awards.
